Who would have thought that Trains in an engagement session would be so damn cool!! Marianne & Ryan…these two…there are no words. Well, ok there are going to be some words or I wouldn’t have much of a blog post haha.  I just cannot express on here enough how much these two saw what I was envisioning for their session and how much I saw of what they were portraying on their inspiration board.

Marianne first brought up the idea of a train shoot and my first original thought was “There is no way we are going to find a location like that”. However, I stayed positive and looked immediately after she sent over the idea to me.  Believe it or not, I found this location within 10 minutes of searching on Google.  Once we picked out a date for their engagement session it was the start of my countdown!  I mean, I was so excited I had it in a countdown app on my phone.

Let me just go ahead and say HOW HOT the day was.  Thankfully the temperature dropped 10 degrees by the time Marianne & Ryan arrived.  It was still 90 degrees, but thank God there was wind!!  The conductor let us on the last train ride along with giving us an option to choose which car we wanted to ride in.  Our first thought was to get in the one that was air conditioned, of course, then we saw it.  Now, not to say it wasn’t pretty, it just didn’t have the “train feel” we were going for.  So…window breeze it was.  Luckily, they packed themselves a towel and water.

After the train ride, it was a game of finding cool air as much as we could.  For the most part, all of the ideal locations to shoot was in air conditioning.  At the end of the session I had to run to my car for a prism and, what would you know, the damn sky fell out…and it POURED!  As soon as I made it back to them (from my car) it stopped.  I mean what are the chances?!? No worries though, that rained made for some steamy and moody shots to end the session perfectly.
