Some stories have a way of coming back around, and those are always my favorite ones to tell.

Years ago, I stood with Michael and Nicole as they promised forever to each other on their wedding day. Now, watching them prepare to welcome their baby into the world feels like a reminder that the wedding day is never really the end of the story. It’s just the beginning of all the chapters that follow. Their Raleigh maternity session carried that same quiet connection they’ve always shared—only now, there’s one more heartbeat woven into it.

One of my favorite things about maternity photography is that it isn’t really about documenting a baby bump. It’s about preserving a season that passes far too quickly—the anticipation, the excitement, and the little moments before life changes forever. We wandered beneath the trees, stood in the summer light, and slowed down enough to take it all in. Their North Carolina maternity session felt honest, easy, and beautifully uncomplicated.
