There’s a particular rhythm to a morning like this.
Horses being readied. Riders gathering in the field. Conversations happening between arrivals. Then, almost without announcement, everyone begins to move.
The Radnor Hunt has been part of Pennsylvania’s countryside for generations, but what interested me most wasn’t simply the tradition. It was everything happening around it.
The quiet before the ride.
A horse disappearing over the rise.
People waiting at the edge of a field.
The landscape changing as the morning moved on.
I photographed what was already there — the movement, the people, the details, and the feeling of a place with its own history.
Some stories don’t need much explanation.
You just have to pay attention.
