I am always up around 4:30am every morning….but having to get up at 2am to get out the door in 45min for an engagement session…that was a struggle. Even though it was more of a struggle to get up than normal, I had packed myself three coffees (yes three lol) to go and was set to meet this ADORABLE and SWEET couple, Nicki & Justin.  I have been to Kure Beach but I have actually never been over to Kure Beach Pier.  What a fun spot to see the sunrise, especially on the pier itself.

I was so grateful that I was not the one being photographed that morning because (thinking the heat wouldn’t be so bad in the early am) I was looking rough from sweating. Nicki and Justin, however, looked like they were constantly ready for their close up. Not a drop of sweat in sight. Just gorgeous smiles, fun laughter, and looking so cute with one another.  I am sure that it helped getting to get their feet wet at well.

After the beach we headed over to downtown Wilmington, to the River Walk.  Although it looked like a lot of the River Walk was under construction, we managed to still find a great spot for us to get some pictures.  These two right here, these two amazing human beings…were so easy going to work with and I hate that I wont be able to shoot their wedding BUT I cannot wait to see the magic that happens at their wedding.  I am so excited for them!
